I believe that making things by hand empowers people to live more joyfully and thoughtfully, and I like nothing better than connecting with students and communities in person. My teaching style builds a deep understanding of concepts through hands-on experimentation in a supportive environment. I want students to leave my class with a set of skills and ideas they can carry forward into their lives and share with others.
I’m teaching at these upcoming workshops:
Arizona Fiber Arts Retreat

Fiber + Twist = Yarn! (Beginning Spinning)
Finishing for Fiber Artists

Embroidery class at Flag Wool Festival
Felting class at John C. Campbell Folk School. Back row center is my amazing assistant Becky Walker, who I’ll be co-teaching with next time!
I’m available for private and group lessons in knitting, sewing, felting, and natural dye, anywhere in the Flagstaff area, on a one-time or ongoing basis.
I also travel to teach, so if you have an interested guild or group, I may be able to come to you! Click here to see an outline of current topics I teach.
I know what kind of amazing things can happen when people come together and share their creativity. Feel free to contact me with your ideas.
“Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed Tasha last night at the Fair Isle class. She is not only a beautiful person but a very knowledgeable knitter. She imparted her knowledge in such an easy, sweet way it was a joy to be in her class.” – Janice
“You have made me fearless. I am in your debt.” – Deborah
